IB Entrance Exams

On Saturday March 2nd at 9.00-12.30 it is time for the entrance exam for you who have applied for International Baccalaureate.

We are excited that so many of you have applied to the International Baccalaureate Programme at Per Brahegymnasiet in Jönköping. We would like to invite you to our school for an opportunity to do entrance exams in English and Math. Your results on these tests will be used together with your past grades in order to determine who will be accepted to PreIB.

• Date: Saturday, March 2nd
• Time: 9.00-12.30
• Location: Brahesalen, our auditorium, in the main building, just up the stairs from the reception.

We know that some students feel nervous about these tests, but we see them as an extra opportunity for you to show knowledge and skills that may not be reflected in your current grades. We look at all of the information available to help make the final decisions and we are looking forward to meeting you all.

It’s important that everyone interested in the IB Programme does the entrance exams, even if you have not chosen the IB as your first choice. Many students change their minds after they visit the school, when they see their results on the entrance exams or when they talk to our students. There is a time period later in the spring when you can change the order of your choices and if you’d like to have the IB as your first choice, it is important that we have your test results.

Parents are allowed to join you if you like. We will start the day with a brief information session and your parents are welcome to listen to it.

Schedule for March 2nd

• 9.00 Students can come directly to Brahesalen
  The IB Coordinator will give a short presentation about the IB programme.
• 9.30 Math test
  Please bring your own pencil and eraser. No calculators will be allowed.
• 10.30 Fika break
  Our PreIB students will bake and be available to answer any questions you may have.
• 11.00 English test
• 12.30 English test ends
